What is an Integrated Children’s Centre?

  • Integrated Children’s Centres (ICC) were developed on the understanding that the integration of services such as education, childcare, social care, and parent and family support at a single point of contact, were effective ways of supporting children and families.
  • An ICC seeks to raise awareness on and address the needs of parents and the local community by enabling access to a wide range of services including childcare, early years provision as well as opportunities for parents to learn
  • The ICC focuses on promoting multi-agency working, signposting services and facilitating access to support.
  • There are three ICC’s in Neath Port Talbot – Resolven ICC, Aberavon ICC

Ystalyfera and Godre’r Graig Integrated Children’s Centre

  • Ystalyfera and Godre’r Graig ICC is aiming to make it easier for children, young people and their families to access the very best of support and opportunities available to them within our community right from the start. The ICC aims to do this by making sure that services such as education, childcare, play, family support and health and well being, put children, young people and their families at the centre of what they do and recognise that by working together positive differences can be achieved for children, families and the community
  • Do you know that there is a range of activities and opportunities available within our community relating to child and family support, health and wellbeing? Ystalyfera and Godre’r Graig ICC seeks to build on what’s already good in our community and making it even better by extending the benefits and opportunities to as many families as possible.
  • Agencies and organisations involved in Ystalyfera and Godre’r Graig ICC are signed up to working together and are listening to and acting on what children, young people and families want and need
