Children’s Activities
At Tiddlywinks all activities are geared to the child’s age and ability. The very young children - babies - are accommodated upstairs whilst the under 2’s who are toddling and children aged from 2 years to 4 years of age are downstairs in the main Centre. During term time as a rule, children aged 7 years to 13 years of age are accommodated in our overflow facility off site in Tiddlywinks2 and children aged 4 to 6 years old are accommodated in the Log Cabin at the main Centre. If numbers permit, and usually at the end of the day all children are sometimes housed in the main Centre. During school holidays most school aged children are accommodated within Tiddlywinks2 in Godre’r Graig Working Mens club. Younger babies and toddlers are cared for separately from the older children for the majority of time.
An array of fun and stimulating activities and opportunities are offered throughout the day that are appropriate to the child’s age and stage of development.
For some activities, the children are divided into smaller groups or will undertake an activity on a one to one basis with a member of staff.
